Wood stoves are used for heating homes in some regions. As with any appliance, the stove door will eventually need to be replaced. Follow this guide on how to replace your wood stove door safely and efficiently!
The first step is to clean the area around the door frame.
Remove the screws from around the door frame using a flat head screwdriver. There may be one or more screws on each side, so make sure to check both sides.
Open the door and gently lift it off of the stove.
Replace door on stove and replace screws around door frame. Make sure the screws are tight, but do not over tighten as this can damage the stove.
Close the door and check to make sure it closes properly and is sealed tightly.
Reinstall stove into its original location or where ever it was originally located.
Wood stoves get hot enough to burn through many materials, which means they also require regular maintenance in order to stay safe. The door is an important part of this process because it helps prevent heat and smoke from escaping. However, in order to do its job properly, the doo must be replaced every few years or when needed. This guide can help you through that process!
